Our blood temperatures are higher, and particularly sensitive to water, especially when we're young. A few drops of rain, or room temperature water even, and I get hypothermia, or... die.
She hesitated at the end, not like thinking about it, even though it was still a possibility. The blush stayed, of course, even though her muscles - which had tensed initially in a nervous reaction - began to relax. She found herself wanting to lean back, but the slight sting of the cloth on the cuts quickly stopped those thoughts. more pressure would only mean more pain. That didn't, however, stopped the soft purr, deeper than a cat's would typically be, though still undeniably similar. As soon as it reached her ears, of course, it died in her throat, her pink-tinged face flushing bright red as she pulled away, head ducking.
That, uh. That should be good. Thanks.
She murmured softly, teeth nibbling on her lower lip, face still bright red as embarrassment stopped her from turning to face him, not that she was exactly difficult to spin around, what with her small stature.

Kishou listened to her words, surprise causing both of his brows to lift. The draca race was quite odd, but he could definitely understand how the water affected them. But that didn't mean the thought of those words did not send a chill through him. Hypothermia.. that was risky in itself- it seemed to cause death a lot more often than not, and if she was at such a risk... Well he'd definitely have to deal with the hot water. Protecting his princess was a knight in shining armor's first priority.
But it wasn't until he heard the purr did he say anything more than what he had moments ago, finished with cleaning the cuts with that soft cloth.
"Uh, you're welcome."
For maybe one of the at most- second or third time, the red-head sounded slightly flustered, releasing the cloth back into that hot water filled bucket.
"Do you need me to wrap it or anything?" he questioned now, not allowing the shirt to fall back down yet- yes- staring, unable to keep his eyes off of the bare back.

It was an understatement, really, but she didn't speak on it any further. She'd really rather not. She risked a quick glance over her shoulder, noting how he still held her shirt off her back. It definitely didn't help her blush disappear. Trying to distract her mind, she tried to crane her head to see her back - not that she got anywhere with such an attempt of course.
Uh, I don't know... How... how bad are they?
She could hazard a guess that the answer would be "bad," or at least bad enough to need to be covered, at least for one with such a poor ability to heal. The pain alone could tell her that much, though she stayed optimistic it was otherwise. When she raised her eyes again to stop trying to see how her back was faring, she spotted his own gaze - and he was staring. She quickly looked away, teeth digging into her lower lip again not sure whether she was thoroughly embarrassed, or kind of happy. Perhaps a bit of both.

He'd never even noticed that the draca had seen him staring. Two-toned eyes scanned over the cuts all along her back as she spoke, figuring they were indeed bad enough to require being wrapped up. Bad enough for him to feel that way at least. He wouldn't feel comfortable leaving them exposed so they would in turn be probably irritated by her shirt.
"Ah, yeah, I'm gunna wrap `em. I'd rather be safe than sorry," the red-head spoke, leaving no room for arguments- not that he really thought she would vote against it.
Kishou reached for the bandages, unraveling the tip slightly, before chewing on his bottom lip thoughtfully. His hands had ceased their movement as he thought of how they should do this.
"Mmkay, you hold your shirt up, and I'm gunna wrap the bandages all around you so it can cover your back efficiently. Is that alright?" Now the cocky demon requested his princess's permission, lest she'd rather have it done a different way. He wasn't sure which way would feel more comfortable.

If he thought it was best, it probably was. It was almost impossible to overreact in regards to an injured draca, unless they were in a hypoallergenic, completely clean room where infections were entirely impossible. He hesitated, and she didn't really blame him.
Uh, yeah, that's... that's fine
She murmured. It made sense - though it was definitely going to be awkward. In fact, it already was. But, she'd deal with it. She had to. And so, she did exactly as asked, lifting her shirt - only as high as she had to. Even that left her face almost redder than before, if that was at all possible.

Mainly with emotions- most of them he wasn't really accustomed to- but the longer he stayed with her, the more he interacted with her, the less confusing and surprising such reactions and feelings became. Just as now- that embarrassed feeling that warmed his cheeks as he placed the first end of the bandage just below the draca's waist.
"Duck your head a little," the red-head advised, knowing his arms weren't long enough to stretch over her head confidently. He would walk around her, but he felt pretty goofy and embarrassed attempting that. Instead, he remained behind her, closer than before, his legs almost grazing her back, but him being consciously aware to not allow that. The demon's left hand held on to that end of the bandage, while his right hand brought it around her back and towards the front of her.
Kishou continued this process, until he'd finished, the bandage ending off on the front of the draca. Shifting embarrassedly around Vee as he grabbed the small clip to keep the bandage in place, he moved to kneel in front of her, so he could properly secure it in place.
