Standing at six feet, Banez is a fairly lean and well-muscled, and very much has the look of a white knight. He has a fair complexion, with angular features on his oval face; however, when he smiles, they seem a lot softer. Banez is never hard to read, as his emotions are clear on his face if he's not actively thinking about hiding them, and even then, it's probably only scaled back. His attire tends to consist of a small golden swan pendant and light colors, usually long-sleeved shirts worn under short-sleeved tunics, and slacks tucked into boots. He has a long scar on the right side of his chest and a scar that curves around his left forearm.

Banez is a kind man with firm beliefs, and he is a fiercely loyal, dedicated, and supporting friend. Living up to his name, he seems to be generally happy while going about even mundane tasks, and he has the tendency to smile at anything he finds even remotely amusing. He thinks well on his feet, and he gives situations a reasonable analysis, because when he comes to a decision, he doesn't tend to go back on it. HISTORY

Banez used to be a shy, quiet child, who comes from a family of glassblowers. When he was thirteen, he fell ill with the sweating sickness, where he dreamed of a place of angels. The walls were made of colored glass with alabaster vines with colored glass wings sprawled across them, the fruit on the trees were in the shapes of squares and hearts and all sorts of colors and geometric shapes, the plants glowed slightly, and there was a clear blue pool and sparkling mist. He recovered from his illness, but when he talked of his fantastical vision to his family, they shunned him and told him that no such place could ever exist in the world. Despite the constant put-downs from his family, his idealistic belief persisted, and his personality changed into a more outspoken, happier one.

At sixteen years of age, Banez joined the Guardians of Carvalo, all the while making frequent stops at the library and researching in the hopes that this Angel Haven actually existed. When he heard about the gathering of The Faith and their plans to contact Earth, he immediately quit the guard force and joined the gang, believing that if Angel Haven really isn't on this world, it would be on another.
