23/09/2011; Crush reskinned! Oh my gosh! Why don't you all let us know what you think of the new skin? You can comment in the thread found here! If things look out of place for the next little bit (a half hour or so, starting at around 9:00 pm cbox time), it's because the sin is still getting switched over. Please be patient! The skin images and such should all be up now. If you see something out of place - besides images in apps made before today - please let me know so I can fix it! Also, there's a new rule! Check it out!

08/09/2011; So I finally got around to handing out advertising contest prizes. My creativity sorta... died. I couldn't think of anything to add to the prizes, so instead I just gave an extra 200 coins to first, second and third place. Though, we may have to have another one soon, cause this place needs more members. For now, though, I'll settle for the lovely activity check that you can find here! I've sent out a mass email to bother you all to come back, so there's no excuse for not posting in it. If you've posted an away topic, though, don't worry <3 We aren't entirely heartless and we'll take it into account.

SUMMER; Hot and humid, this summer is one to be careful of what you do. Don't overexert yourself, or you may quickly come to regret it later. The Grace Hospital is filling up with cases of heat stroke and they're quickly running out of room for the most dire cases, sometimes even resorting to turning people who need the help away due to a lack of beds. Storms to break the heat are rare, but much appreciated when they come. Looks like it'll be a hard year for farmers, too, as it's fairly dry and you can only hand-water so many crops.

the city of carvalo,
jackson tower, The head of all things political, Jackson tower both houses the royalty and government members as well as provides rooms for political debate, guardian headquarters, medical conferences, and just about anything else that is important. It isn't uncommon to see protestors standing outside the tall fences surrounding this place, though very few manage to get in without an authorized pass.

access railway, (1 sub-board) The only form of extremely rapid transportation, the Access Railway links the city to the three towns and it also provides a local route which circles through the city at regular intervals. It can be pretty expensive, though, so you might be better off walking, catching a traveling caravan, or riding on horseback.
grace hospital, Relatively small, but with rather advanced technology and medicine, the hospital is located directly next to Jackson Tower. During times of epidemics, the gates to the hospital close, fencing it in just as securely as as the Tower. Most the time, though, people are free to come and go as they please with no need for special passes or authorizations.

archangel cathedral, (1 sub-board) Made of gray stone that is worn to smoothness over the years of rain, Archangel Cathedral is very well decorated, both inside and out. It is overly extravagant, with statues of angels and various other creatures, carved doors, etched pews, and paintings on the ceiling.
lush, (2 sub-boards) Lush is the only the fanciest and most expensive hotel around. If you're coming to the city, you want to stay at Lush. Unfortunately, they've bought out all their competitors so if you can't afford their prices, guess what? Yeah, you're out on the streets. They've simply let the other hotels go to waste for the most part, and most are abandoned and boarded up.
mysteree, Mysteree, far better known to it's patrons as Myst, is, for all intents and purposes, a nightclub. There's a room in the back for the more frowned upon pleasures, such as strippers, but the main area is just your average nightclub; a dance floor, a bar, and some flashing lights. During the day, it turns into a non-alcoholic dance club for those of you underage. All it really does is convince the kids to skip school and hide in the bathrooms until night falls, though.
stardust cafe, Home to the world's best caffeinated drinks, "the Dust" is a popular place to hang out. With two floors of tables, a balcony with some more, and a nice little patio outside, the place manages to keep up a quaint feel while actually being quite large and spacious.

rowan park, Filled with wooden play structures, tree swings and wide open space, Rowan Park is a spot of beauty in the midst of the city. There is a wooded portion for nature walks, a small pond, and plenty of room for picnics or simply burning off some energy. At night, though, when shadows fall, this place becomes a ghost town, as if no one dares come near it. It's said that there is a monster in the forest who will grab you if you come at night, and you'll never be seen again.
the lot, The lot is simply that; a lot of flat ground covered in grass and dirt. Any fairs or large public events are hosted here, and this place gets very crowded, very fast on these occasions. When there's nothing, though, this place is empty, open and desolate.
shopping district, At the center of the shopping district lies a large, open marketplace that is often crowded by vendors selling just about anything, from clothing to vegetables, necessities to nice little trinkets. The further you get from the center, the more the little wooden stands turn into small shops run on the main floor of a house. This is where you'll find the better off salespeople.

camelot gated community, Near Jackson Tower and just as hard to get into, Camelot is for the most well-to-do. The houses are massive and sprawling, with large yards. Many have small stables with horses for nothing more than pleasure riding. The only thing keeping the thieves away from this rich area is the ridiculous amount of security around it.

apartment district, Most of the housing is, admittedly, in the apartment buildings. There's building after building here and most of them are skyscraper-high, allowing for quite a few people to be housed in a relatively small area. There are some pretty posh apartments on the top floors, though, so it's not all small, cramped spaces.

the outskirts, Filled with dark alleys, rat-infested garbage bins and small houses that have certainly seen better days, the Outskirts are the worst part of town. Thieves, drug-dealers, thugs, black market deals... Most the bad stuff tends to go down here, so it's no surprise when half the Guardian patrol is prowling these streets.
koleai, Kolaei is a bit of a small town, mostly just a collection of small houses and huts along the docks and the beach. It is mostly a fishing community so oftentimes there are boats out on the water, leaving the town half-empty. Nonetheless, the kids love playing in the sand and on the rocks near the cliffs. As a whole, the citizens tend to be rather open and friendly.

cimeus, Spread out over quite a bit of space and home to the best messenger horses, Cimeus is a farming town. Most houses aren't in town at all, but rather, surround it. Instead, in the center of town square, there is a farmer's market held every seventh day, and everyone gathers then. For being so spread out, they are a very close-knit community as they rely on each other quite a bit.

atiello, Set at the base of one of the largest of the mountains in Sequeira peaks, Atiello is a rather dingy town. It isn't much to look at and it's covered in dust and rocks, but the true wonders are within the mines. The shops with the mines gemstones and metals are within caves dug in, so the walls glitter with the shine of the stones left in the walls. A little farther, near the edge of the town, are the metal smiths.

sequeira peaks, This mountain range separates the empty, barren north from the populated south. The mountains are treacherous and even their inhabitants stay low, or on the outskirts, of the mountains. Not even the bravest species native to these mountains, the pegasi, dares fly too high. The storms at the peaks are brutal and they appear out of blue skies and sunshine, so you can never expect them or prepare.

zaida island, Off the coast of Kolaei, Zaida Island is an untouched jewel. Covered with beautiful foliage and unique creatures, it is a stunning place to visit - at least, as long as you know how to defend yourself. There's more to this place than there seems to be, and it can get quite dangerous at times.

valera lake, Valera Lake is a combination of various rivers meeting and a dip in the land. It rests south of Carvalo and tends to be a favorite vacation spot. Many go camping along its shores, though there are also cabins that can be rented or bought. A few even live here most of the year.

You have all heard of unicorns and vampires and these sorts of things, I’m sure. They’re real, all of them. Sure, you can’t find them here on Earth, but that doesn’t mean they aren’t out there. They live in a world where Earth is the story, cars and telephones nothing more than a passing joke. In this world, technology is just starting to pick up on the road to progress and magic is far more common to see. Lately, though, in the center of this world, a place called Carvalo City, a new gang has formed. They call themselves The Faith and they work in the underground tunnels and the shadows of the slums, recruiting members day after day. They think Earth is real and they think they can find a way there. With this appetizing thought, they are gaining power quickly and that’s not all. The blind are beginning to see, those with deformities beginning to heal. Some call it a miracle. Others call it a warning. The only thing solid is that there is no explanation for it, just that it started when The Faith started testing ways to reach Earth. But, is Earth really real, or is it just a story?
